“The Adoration Chapel here is a must. The
Chapel is very expensive, can we afford it?
Could it be smaller?… Can construction begin
before funding is complete?
Pastor’s Answer:
The Adoration Chapel will greatly support the spiritual
growth of our community. Yes, it will be an expensive
project, but there are a number of ways we are
exploring to reduce the costs. Among the new
considerations is the placement of the actual building
in relation to the underground utilities. Digging less for
them and shortening distances to their hookups will
save a considerable sum.
Then there is the bidding. Finding a firm to strike a
balance between the build and our overall costs will
come at the strategy of asking several companies to
provide a bid. Identifying people of our parish who
have great experience in coordinating these
matters would be most helpful-and here-Holy Cross
has struck it rich with a number of parishioners who
know very well how to streamline the planning and
building phases with a view to eliminating unnecessary
costs. In this regard, God has wonderfully provided
us with tremendous talent among the members of our
Parish family who have pledged their support.
God Bless,
Father Larry
