Marriage Annulments
The Catholic Church believes in the sanctity and permanence of the marriage bond. This bond is created by God at the time of marriage, if the marriage matches the criteria of commitment as defined by the teachings of Christ and His Church.
This bond is created by God at the time of marriage, if the criteria of commitment as defined by the teachings of Christ and His Church is met.
This bond is created at the time of marriage, and prevents a person from entering into a similar bond while their spouse is still alive. In the annulment process the Church evaluates the validity of the consent required for the marriage bond to be created. An annulment puts the consent of the Bride and/or Groom on trial, not the persons. The petitioner(s) seeking an annulment desires to return to full communion with the Church.
If you have questions regarding the annulment process please call the parish office. Additional information on the annulment process can be obtained at the Diocese of Phoenix Tribunal Office.
