Holy Cross Conference

The Society of St. Vincent de Paul provides food, clothing, and other assistance to our neighbors in need. Located at the north end of the grounds, we are open Monday through Thursday from 7:00 AM-12:00 PM. Leave a message at (480) 985-4259 and they will return your call.

We are always in need of cereal, jam, jelly, canned chili, Vienna sausages, canned Ravioli, ramen and long crew socks. These items are given out to our homeless year-round. Thank you in advance for your donations.

Household items and other clothing can be donated to your closest St. Vincent de Paul Thrift Store or call 602-266-4673 to schedule a pickup of large household items.

Volunteers Needed

St. Vincent de Paul (SVdP) at Holy Cross needs volunteers to help with the following work:

• Deliver food to the residents of our parish and others.
• Interview & provide food for the homeless who come to our office. 
• Pack and distribute food from our pantry.
• Pick up food at local grocery stores & suppliers. Must be able to drive an SVdP 1/2-ton pickup truck and unload containers that may weigh up to 60 lbs.
• Pick up food at local grocery stores and bring it to SVdP in their own vehicles and must be able to lift 30 lbs.
• Transcribe telephone messages, make phone calls and do simple data entry. 

St Vincent de Paul needs you!      No experience necessary!!

Volunteers work in our office, pantry, warehouse or at home.  They also make deliveries or pick-ups in the local area. Hours are available Monday-Saturday for 1 or more hours a day… You do not need to be Catholic or belong to Holy Cross parish to be a volunteer. The only training required is Safe Environment Training and obtaining a Food Handlers Card, both of which can be completed online. Please prayerfully consider contributing your time to this worthy cause.
