2021-2022 Religious Education Registration Information.

We offer General Formation classes for PreK (4 years old by September 1) through 12th grade students that are either too young to be in Sacrament Preparation or have already celebrated the sacraments of First Reconciliation, Confirmation and First Holy Communion. Sacrament Preparation classes begin in 2nd grade (or older) with First Reconciliation and then continues the next year with Confirmation and First Holy Communion.

IMPORTANT CHANGE in HOLY CROSS’ SACRAMENT PREPARATION PROGRAM!

Beginning with the 2022-2023 school year, Holy Cross Sacrament Preparation will be a 3-year program. First year is basic (general) formation, second year is preparation for Reconciliation, and third year is preparation for Confirmation and First Communion.

General Formation Programs

Pre K/First Grade General Formation

We encourage parents to enroll their children in religious education as early as Pre K (4 years old by September 1, toilet trained). Our youngest children are enrolled in Catechesis of the Good Shepherd and attend sessions in an Atrium. For more information on this method of catechesis please go to www.cgsusa.org.

Fourth/Fifth Grade General Formation

As parents, we tend to see the reception of Confirmation and First Communion as a “graduation” from religious education. Help your children to grow deeper in their relationship with God and His church by enrolling them in General Formation classes.

Youth Ministry Programs

The mission of youth ministry is to lead teens into a deeper relationship with Jesus Christ and His Church.

Middle School Youth Ministry (Grades 6-8)

  • Meets Wednesdays (Session C) 6:30-7:45 PM

High School Youth Ministry (Grades 9-12)

  • Contact Patti Phillips at (480) 981-2021; ext 213
