Love Him

“You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul,

with all your mind, and with all your strength.”

Mark 12:30

Office of Liturgy & Music

This office takes the task of ensuring that we have all we need to make our weekend Masses and other liturgical celebrations smooth and up to diocesan standards.

The Constitution on the Sacred Liturgy says in its article #10:

10. Still, the liturgy is the summit toward which the activity of the Church is directed; at the same time it is the fount from which all the Church’s power flows. For the aim and object of apostolic works is that all who are made children of God by faith and baptism should come together to praise God in the midst of his Church, to take part in the sacrifice, and to eat the Lord’s Supper.

All liturgical ministries fall under the umbrella of the Office of Liturgy & Music and are trained and scheduled on a regular basis. This includes Lectors who proclaim the Word of God, Ministers of Hospitality also known as Ushers, Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion, Cantors, Choir members, Musicians, Mass Captains, Sacristans, Altar Servers, Altar Society members who help us with the environment of the Church and Anderson Hall, Ministers of Sewing which help us with creating more liturgical linens, Ministers of Linen who take care of washing our vestments and altar cloths, and others.

All members of our parish are welcome to participate in our liturgical ministries; Diocesan requirements ask that those to serve in Mass during the weekend be in good standing with the Church and fulfill a couple of training sessions a year including a Call to Protect session provided by the Diocese of Phoenix and a training session in your particular ministry provided by our office of Liturgy & Music.

You can always call or email us if you have any questions.
