Explanation of the General Formation programs:

Adult Faith Formation

Throughout the year Holy Cross offers a variety of opportunities for Catholic adults to enrich their life-long faith journey through events such as parish presentations focused on Catholic teachings, theology classes, scripture studies, prayer groups, parish missions, retreats, marriage enrichment, and much more.

Kindergarten/First Grade General Formation

We encourage parents to enroll their children in religious education as early as Kindergarten. Our youngest children are enrolled in Catechesis of the Good Shepherd and attend sessions in an Atrium. For more information on this method of Catechesis please go to www.cgsusa.org.

Fourth/Fifth Grade General Formation

As parents, we tend to see the reception of Confirmation and First Communion as a “graduation” from religious education. Help your children to grow deeper in their relationship with God and His church in the most vulnerable stage of their life, adolescence. The program that we use is “Great People of the Bible” by Saint Mary’s Press.
