Rethinking Mary in the New Testament

6:30pm - 8:00pm (weekly) Adult Faith Formation

Mondays from 6:30-8:00pm in the Library, Aug 12 - Oct 14 (No meeting on Labor Day)

Deepen your understanding of and relationship with our Blessed Mother with Rethinking Mary in the New Testament by Edward Sri.

Let’s take a walk with the Blessed Mother and better understand who she was and who she is.  Is there a biblical connection between Mary and the Ark of the Covenant? What does it mean to be greeted by an Angel as full of Grace? How do we explain our relationship with Mary to brothers and sisters outside the Catholic Church?  Why do we see Her as the great intercessor?  Jerry Gonzalez, a practicing Catholic and area attorney, will lead the book review and discussion based on the Edward Sri book (and other materials).  Let’s better understand Mary and why great Christians like Saint Pope John Paul II in his 1978 papal motto used the words…Totus Tuus.  We hope you can join!

You will need to purchase your own book: Currently $12.97 on Amazon (Use AmazonSmile and link Holy Cross to your account).
